WHAT IS AN INDEPENDENT BIBLE CHURCH? 1. It is a CHURCH...made up of born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, those who have trusted in His finished substitutionary work on the cross as the only acceptable payment for their own sin. 2. It bases its doctrine and practices on the BIBLE...Gods Word...not on tradition or the teachings of men. 3. It is INDEPENDENT...a local church that is free from any denominational control or authority. Its only head is Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. I Peter 1:3-5
